Dua When Thunder is Heard
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ
Meaning: Glory be to Him Whom thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of fear of Him.

اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا هَنِيئًا مَرِيئًا
Meaning: O Allah, send us a refreshing and beneficial rain that brings relief and is wholesome.
The Special Status of Rain
The Prophet said: "Two supplications are not rejected: the supplication at the time of the call to prayer and the supplication at the time of rain." (Abu Dawud 2540)
Rain is a moment when Allah's mercy descends — make abundant dua when it rains.
