Dua for Paying Off Debt

The Prophet specifically taught duas for those burdened with debt. Combine these supplications with practical Islamic guidance on managing debt.

Primary Dua for Debt Relief

Meaning: O Allah, suffice me with Your halal from Your haram, and enrich me by Your grace from all others besides You.
Tirmidhi 3563 (Hasan)

The Prophet's Dua for Debt

This is the same as the Dua for Anxiety, which specifically includes "being heavily in debt" as one of the seven things to seek refuge from.

Practical Sunnah for Debt

  • Avoid debt when possible — the Prophet sought refuge from it daily
  • If in debt, have sincere intention to repay
  • Recite morning and evening adhkar including the duas above
  • Give charity — the Prophet said charity removes debt
  • Make dua in the last third of the night
