Dua When Leaving the Mosque
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Meaning: O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty.
Sunnah Actions for the Mosque
- Enter with the right foot first
- Leave with the left foot first
- Pray 2 rakats of Tahiyyat al-Masjid (greeting the mosque) before sitting
- Recite Salawat upon the Prophet upon entering
- Maintain cleanliness and wear perfume (not for women in public)
The Virtue of the Mosque
The Prophet said: "Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning and evening, Allah prepares for him a place in Paradise for every morning and evening." (Bukhari 662)
