The Primary Dua Before Sleep

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Complete Sunnah Night Routine

1. Ayatul Kursi (Quran 2:255)
Recite once — "Allahu la ilaha illa huwal hayyul qayyum..." — A guardian from Allah protects until morning.
2. Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas
Recite each 3 times, blow into palms and wipe over body — protection from all evil.
3. The Sleep Dua
"Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya" — turning sleep into worship.
4. Last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah
"Aamanar-rasulu..." — sufficient for the night (Bukhari 5008).

"When you go to your bed, perform wudu as you do for prayer, then lie on your right side and say..."
